This is a map of Trinidad and Tobago.The top one is Tobago and the bottom one is Trinidad.Trinidad is surrounded by the North Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea.


Every year people from all over the world come to Trinidad to see carnival.In carnival people dress up i different costumes.They dance, eat and have fun.The kind of music they play at the parade is Calypso and Chutney.The parade runs on Carnival Monday and Tuesday.In carnival there are floats and trucks that come with different music and hand out pens, hats,t-shirts and whistles.Some people have flags representing their country.

This dish is called Doubles.It is made out of flour,chick peas,potato. It is Trinidad's national dish.In Trinidad, people on the side of the streets would sell Doubles and other great food.Doubles comes with a dip called Chutney. (not the Trinidadian music)

This is another beach on the edge of Trinidad called Toco.The waves are rough and you can find lots of shell.

This is a picture of one of the beaches in Trinidad called Maracus. It is a beach behind the mountains . It is located on the north side of Trinidad. It is an hour drive from the city of Port-of-Spain also known as Trinidad and Tobago's capital. It's one of the most beautiful beaches in Trinidad because is it's size and located closet to the capital city. At the beach,there are people selling bake (a type of Trinidadian bread)and shark. Unlike many of the northern beaches in Trinidad,Maracus beach is protected by a deep bay.
Trinidad and Tobago are like brothers and sisters. Tobago is the sister and Trinidad is the brother. In 1498,Christopher Coloumbus discovered Trinidad and then Tobago. Trinidad is rich in oil,asphalt,sugar,coffee,cocoa and rum. Trinidad is multicultural. Tobago has great beaches,fishing and sight seeing. You can bike across Tobago in 1 day. Trinidad is just 11km from the country Venezuela. Port-of-Spain is Trinidad's capital. Trinidad is homed to about 1.3
million people. Trinidad and Tobago's national bird is called the Scarlet-Ibis.The Stell Pans is Trinidad's national symbol.in 1498. Trinidad's style of music is :Calypso,Chutney,Soca and Parang. Trinidad covers an area of 5128 square kilometers. Trinidad came under British control in the 11th century. They won their independece in 1962. Tobago passed between Britain and France many times. Trinidad and Tobago have been attracting people from over 2 millenia's. Eurpeans,African,Indians and Chinese have all made their homes in Trinidad and Tobago. Trinidad and Tobago has great beaches,climate and weather most countries don't have. Trinidad maximum temperture is 320 degrees. Between January to May there is dry season,June to December is wet season. When it rains in Trinidad,it rains over 200 cm over mort of the country.Trinidad takes part in the West Indians cricket team. Trinidad also takes part in the Soca wariors soccer team. The distance from Trinidad to Canada is 2.536km. Tobago is only 20 miles northeast from Trinidad. Oil was discovered in Trinidad in 1857 when the world's first oil well was drilled at La Brea. In 1914, the first oil refinery was built at Pointe-a-Pierre. About 123,000 tons of sugar are produced in Trinidad every year. The island has farms that carry about 80,000 cattles,70,000 pigs and 13,000 sheeps. Tobago is southeast of Grenada. Trinidad and Tobago lies on the Carribean Sea. One of Trinidad's dances are the Limbo. In 1783, farmers from Haiti and other nerby islands built a huge sugar cane plantation or large farms on Trinidad. In 1814, Britain took over Tobago. Trinidad was seperated from the mainland of South America 10,000 or more years ago,while Tobago was once part of an underwater volcanic mountain range connected to the continent. Trinidad is dotted with mud volcanoes and small mounds that spew sulfric mud. Trinidad and tobago were encountered by Christopher Coloubus in 1498. In 1963,Trinidad had a huge hurricane called Hurricane Flora. The hurricane also affected other islands too. Christopher Coloumbus claimed the islands of Trinidad and Tobago for Spain in 1498. Maracus is safer then other beaches because Maracus is surrounded by a bay.
